3 他們說：“為甚麼我們禁食，你不看呢？
為甚麼我們刻苦己身，你不理會呢？”
看哪！你們在禁食的日子，仍然追求自己喜歡作的事，
欺壓為你們作工的人。
4 看哪！你們禁食，結果是吵鬧和打架，用兇惡的拳頭打人；
你們不要像今天這樣的禁食，使你們的聲音可以聽聞於天上。
5 使人刻苦自己的日子，這樣的禁食是我揀選的嗎？
難道只是叫人垂頭像一根葦子，
用麻布和爐灰鋪在下面嗎？
你可以稱這是禁食，為耶和華所悅納的日子嗎？
6 我所揀選的禁食不是這樣嗎？
不是要鬆開兇惡的鎖鍊，
解開軛上的繩索，
使被壓迫的獲得自由，
折斷所有的軛嗎？
7 不是要把你的食物分給飢餓的人，
把流浪的窮困人接到你的家裡，
見到赤身露體的，給他衣服蔽體，
不可逃避自己的骨肉而不顧恤嗎？
8 這樣，你的光就必突然發出，像黎明的曙光，
你的傷口就必快快復原；
你的公義就必行在你的前面，
耶和華的榮耀要作你的後盾。
9 那時，你求告，耶和華必應允；
你呼求，他必說：“我在這裡！”
你若從你中間除掉欺壓人的軛，
除去指責人的指頭和惡毒的言語，

Isaiah 58:3-9
English Standard Version
3 (A)‘Why have we fasted, and you see it not?
Why have we humbled ourselves, and you take no knowledge of it?’
Behold, in the day of your fast you seek your own pleasure,[a]
(B)and oppress all your workers.
4 Behold, you fast only to quarrel and to fight
and to hit with a wicked fist.
Fasting like yours this day
will not make your voice to be heard on high.
5 (C)Is such the fast that I choose,
(D)a day for a person to humble himself?
Is it to bow down his head like a reed,
and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him?
Will you call this a fast,
and a day acceptable to the Lord?
6 “Is not this the fast that I choose:
(E)to loose the bonds of wickedness,
to undo the straps (F)of the yoke,
to let the oppressed[b] go free,
and to break every yoke?
7 Is it not (G)to share your bread with the hungry
and bring the homeless poor into your house;
when you see the naked, to cover him,
(H)and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?
8 (I)Then shall your light break forth like the dawn,
(J)and your healing shall spring up speedily;
(K)your righteousness shall go before you;
(L)the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
9 Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer;
you shall cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’
If you take away (M)the yoke from your midst,
(N)the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,
