“[W]e rejoice that the remaining … hostages have finally been freed and reunited with their families,” said national president Carol Ann Schwartz. “…Our joy is tempered as we share in the deep sorrow of the bereaved families who await their loved ones killed in captivity.”
In an op-ed for eJewish Philanthropy, the CEO of the American Jewish Health Association noted Hadassah's role in a new coalition of major Jewish organizations formed to fight antisemitism in healthcare and “to model unity … for the broader fight against all antisemitism.”
“The goal is first and foremost to stop the bleeding,” said Prof. Abd Al-Roof Higazi, director of Clinical Biochemistry at the Hadassah Medical Organization, in a Times of Israel article about his invention, which removes proteins in plasma that inhibit clotting.
