About the speakers:

Shabbos Kestenbaum

Shabbos Kestenbaum is a student activist and the lead plaintid against Harvard University, alleging pervasive and systemic antisemitism. He is a regular contributor on national media, has testified in front of the United States Congress multiple times, and lectures internationally on Jewish communal issues.

Adela Cojab

Adela Cojab is a lawyer, activist, and media contributor. In 2019, she filed the first-ever Title VI Complaint against NYU for failing to protect Jewish students from harassment during her time as an undergraduate. Her work—from political advocacy to interfaith peace rallies—has been recognized internationally, earning her designations as one of Hadassah’s 18 Zionist American Women of 2024, Jewish Week’s “36 Under 36,” and JNS’s Top 40 Latin-American Pro-Israel Advocates. She cohosts the interfaith podcast Americanish: Daughters of Diaspora and, as of 2024, hosts the OpenDor Media show TodayUnpacked on YouTube. She holds a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a B.A. from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, with a concentration in Middle Eastern Diaspora Structures.

Alissa Bernstein

Alissa Bernstein is the Assistant Director of American Jewish Committee (AJC) Los Angeles, where she manages the region’s political outreach, legislative advocacy, and interfaith and intergroup coalition building. Originally from Palo Alto, California, she graduated cum laude from Occidental College with a degree in Psychology and Spanish, where she spent her time advocating for Jewish issues and creating educational opportunities with the administration about campus antisemitism.

Shanie Reichman

Shanie Reichman is the director of strategic initiatives and director of IPF Atid at Israel Policy Forum, based in New York City, where she works to elevate the discourse around the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and is a frequent host of the Israel Policy Pod. Shanie serves as the founding co-chair for the Forum Dvorah U.S. committee, as a Wexner Field Fellow, a Schusterman ROIer, on the board of Queens College Hillel, on the advisory council for the Center for Ethnic, Racial and Religious Understanding, and as a mentor with Girl Security. Her work has been published in the Forward, the Jerusalem Post, Times of Israel, Hey Alma, Jewish

Unpacked, eJewishPhilanthropy, and International Policy Digest.

Oz Bin Nun

Oz Bin Nun is studying Psychology and Philosophy at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He has served as an emissary of the Jewish Agency at the University of Wisconsin, and is a graduate of the Bronfman Fellowships. A writer, content creator, and social activist, he served as a commander in the Egoz Commando unit in the 2023-2024 Gaza war.

David Hazony

David Hazony is an award-winning editor, translator, and author. He is the editor of "Young Zionist Voices" (Wicked Son, 2024) and of "Jewish Priorities" (Wicked Son, 2023), the former editor-in-chief of the journal Azure and was the founding editor of TheTower.org. His book "The Ten Commandments" (Scribner, 2010) was a finalist for the National Jewish Book Award. His translation of Uri Bar-Joseph’s "The Angel" (HarperCollins, 2016) was a winner of the National Jewish Book Award. He has edited two previous anthologies: "Essential Essays on Judaism by Eliezer Berkovits" (Shalem, 2002), and, with Yoram Hazony and Michael B. Oren, "New Essays on Zionism" (Shalem, 2007). He has a Ph.D. in Jewish Philosophy from the Hebrew University and lives in Jerusalem.

Rabbi Amitai Fraiman

Raised in Jerusalem, ordained in NY, and now living in Palo Alto, Rabbi Amitai Fraiman is the Director of the Z3 Project, an initiative of the Oshman Family JCC aimed at strengthening the relationship between Diaspora Jews and Israel based on a Peoplehood oriented Zionism. R' Fraiman is also the founder of שזור/Interwoven, an organization specializing in telling the story of American Jewry to Israelis. Amitai is an ELI speaker, a musmach of YCT, and a graduate of NYU's Wagner- Skirball dual MPA-MA program. Together with Michal, they are the proud parents of Maya, Yahli and Roee which they love bigger than the sky.
