Long-time ALEH resident Tal is often referred to as the “Mayor of Jerusalem” due to the warm welcome he extends to every visitor who crosses the threshold of ALEH’s residential and rehabilitative center in Jerusalem. Curious, friendly and kind, Tal has always chosen to park his manual wheelchair at the center’s entranceway in the hopes of meeting interesting new people and making them smile. Tal has been a wheelchair user for nearly three decades, and though he’s had no trouble navigating his manual wheelchair until now, the repetitive motions of driving and steering the chair are starting to take their toll on his upper extremities. Thanks to our generous friends and supporters around the world, ALEH’s rehabilitative staff were able to purchase a top-of-the-line electric wheelchair for Tal the moment they realized that a switch was necessary. Tal is a fast learner, and he is already zipping around the halls of ALEH Jerusalem in his new wheelchair, his smile bigger than ever! Learn more about ALEH: https://aleh.org/
