As the avocado flowering season draws to a close here in Israel, we had the opportunity to showcase our next-generation electrostatic robotic pollination solution — built for avocados and other tree crops. 🤖🥑 During a successful field demonstration, we proved the power of technology in real orchard conditions: delivering better yield outcomes, greater control, and scalable solutions for large-area pollination. These incredible pollinators are routinely: - Transported over long distances in cramped conditions with minimal access to food; - Forced to feed on a single crop in monoculture farms, leading to poor nutrition and compromised immune systems; - Competing with wild pollinators for limited floral resources, and increased exposure to disease transmission due to high hive density and stress. This is not sustainable — not for the bees, and not for the planet. 🌸 At BloomX, we offer an alternative: technology-driven pollination that reduces growers' dependency on honeybees, while ensuring high-quality, consistent results. 🌸 Spring Has Sprung – and So Has Pollination Season in Israel! 🌸 With the arrival of April, bloom season has officially begun—and so has our work across orchards in Israel. We're proud to be working with innovative, tech-savvy growers who understand the importance of using advanced tools to support agriculture and achieve increased yields and high-quality crops. This season also marks an exciting evolution for BloomX. In addition to our trusted manual tools, we’re now deploying our next-generation robotic systems, already working in the field. These advanced solutions bring greater scalability, improved performance, and reduced reliance on manual labor—and we’re excited to reveal them very soon. 📸 In the photos: our Manual Crossbee, developed for avocados and other orchard trees, and a microscope image of avocado pollen grains on a specially engineered fabric. This unique material was carefully selected after extensive research in our labs to mimic the texture and properties of a pollinator’s body—ensuring that pollen sticks effectively before being applied to female flowers for optimal pollination.
