Yotam Drechsler

CEO and Co-founder

As the CEO of BrainQ, Yotam supervises the execution of the strategic development of BrainQ’s therapy to reduce disability for stroke patients. Yotam, together with his team of top-ranked data science and neuroscience experts, has led the Company in creating a non-invasive solution for neurological recovery that is on track to market. As a former BCG strategy consultant, Yotam worked alongside senior managers of top multinational companies around the world, implementing large scale multibillion-dollar mergers and acquisition activities. He was awarded the BCG 2015 Award of Excellence. Prior to his work at BCG, Yotam worked at Barclay's Capital where he was part of leading a team that provided financial products and solutions to top Israeli clients, managing a multimillion P&L deal flow. Yotam participated in the IBM Software Lab in Jerusalem, an exclusive software development team providing innovative solutions to data privatization for large institutions. Additionally, Yotam currently serves as a Google Launchpad mentor, is a member of the Forbes Technology Council and McKinsey & Company’s Healthtech CEO forum. Yotam holds a B.A. in mathematics, cognitive science and computer science from The Hebrew University, and an MA in Financial Economics from IDC.

Yaron Segal PhD

CINO and Co-founder

With established and notable expertise in atmospheric sciences, Yaron was driven by his son's diagnosis of Familial Dysautonomia to develop BrainQ’s protocols and pioneered the founding of the Company. As CINO and co-founder of BrainQ, Yaron leads the continued development of the device's protocols and neuroscience research. Yaron is also the co-founder of the IARD Institute for Advanced R&D which researches meteorology, atmospheric sciences, satellite image processing, and satellite data analysis. Yaron completed his Post-Doc in Atmospheric Sciences with a focus on cloud modeling and the effect of climate and aerosols on cloud droplet spectra development from The Hebrew University from 2004-2007. He completed his PhD, MSc and BSc in Atmospheric Sciences at The Hebrew University. Dr. Segal attended Ort College for Technology in Jerusalem, majoring in Computerized Systems and Computer Electronics.

Prof. Esther Shohami

CSO and Co-founder

Esty, a Professor Emerita at the Hebrew University, is a world-renowned expert in neurotrauma research and is recognized as one of the top researchers in her field. As Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of BrainQ, Esther utilizes her vast experience to validate the Company’s scientific materials for academic and scientific integrity. Esty received her doctorate in Physiology from The Hebrew University and completed her Post-Doc at McGill University in Canada. She later joined the HU School of Pharmacy at the faculty of medicine and is currently a Professor Emerita in Pharmacology at The Hebrew University Institute for Drug Research. Between 2006 - 2011 she served as the Dean of students at Hebrew University, and between 2012-2014 as the president of the Israel Society for Neuroscience and has published over 100 works in the field. She is a member of the executive board of the International Neurotrauma Society and served as a councilor in the US National Neurotrauma Society.
