Overview: Ravin AI

Ravin’s digital vehicle inspection tools leverage advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and powerful, progressive computer vision capabilities to inspect a vehicle’s physical condition. Using video from off-the-shelf cameras such as closed-circuit television (CCTV) or mobile phones, Ravin’s automated, easy to use tools track damage and generate a comprehensive condition report, adding a layer of transparency for car rental and leasing companies, insurance companies, dealers, and buyers. Its advanced inspection tools, powered by patent-pending AI technologies, examine a vehicle and its parts – inside and outside – dissecting images, video, unique vehicle identification number (VIN) information, and other data points. These tools improve fleet maintenance, quicken insurance claims processing, upgrade the leasing experience, enhance logistic efficiency, and promote dealer aftersales proficiencies. Ravin does not require customers to purchase or install dedicated hardware. Customers include the Avis Budget Group, Sixt, Mercedes Benz, BVRLA (UK), Adesa, and Toyota-Lexus. Investors include Shell Ventures, the investment arm of Royal Dutch Shell, former General Motors CEO Rick Wagoner, and KAR Global, a leading digital marketplace operator in the remarketing vehicles sector that is integrating Ravin’s platform into its digital inspection offerings. Ravin has offices in the US, UK, and Israel.
