Elisha Medan was seriously injured in an explosion of a building in Gaza, in which four of his friends were killed and he lost both of his legs. After a long hospitalization and intense treatment at Shaare Zedek Medical Center, Medan underwent additional treatment and rehabilitation in the US, after which he can walk again with the help of two prostheses.
