Overview: Quai.MD

Quai.MD is developing an AI-powered platform that improves hospital patient care, reduces costs, increases efficiency and shortens hospital stays. The platform transforms existing hospital best practices into a digitized physician-led process that is tailored to the individual patient and hospital facilities. This helps medical teams to make time-sensitive and complex decisions in the best possible way, with the most efficient use of resources. US hospitals currently waste an estimated $140B a year on inefficiencies and sub-optimal care leading to readmission of patients, penalties and claim denials. The platform is being developed in partnership with the Mayo Clinic, the Medical University of South Carolina, and Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston.

Physicians trust the platform because it provides recommendations that are based on proven best practices and are accessible within their workflow. Quai.MD’s AI engine tailors those recommendations to the specific patient, while allowing physicians full flexibility to choose whatever path they see fit, helping to deploy resources more effectively and mitigate care variability. The platform also helps physicians save time and reduce burnout by creating the necessary notes. These notes are formatted in a way that helps the billing department make the most relevant claim for a specific patient.

By effectively proliferating best practices, and by providing unbiased recommendations, Quai.MD is improving health equity such that patients in any location can receive the best clinical care, by any physician.
