Rick Magder has been producing and directing television, feature films and documentaries for close to 30 years. His love for Israel and desire to create a premier film for the Jewish people and the entire world brought him to this most meaningful point in his career.

Rick and his family founded Magder Entertainment, the largest independent production studio in Canada and home to many television and feature productions, including “Stanley and Iris” starring Jane Fonda and Robert DeNiro, “The Freshman” starring Marlon Brando and Mathew Broderick, “Suspect” starring Cher and Dennis Quaid, Second City Television and much more.
Some of his projects include Mikhail Barishnikov's “Stories from My Childhood,” starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Rob Lowe, Shirley Maclaine, and Gene Hackman and the award winning “Home Safe” starring Martin Short and distributed by Disney.
Rick's documentary work led him to interview political figures such as President Carter, President Ford, Hillary Clinton, Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Ted Kennedy and Jean Kirkpatrick, just to name a few. Most recently he spearheaded a film project to help teens around the country understand and combat hate.
Michael Gerbitz's dedication and passion for Israel combined with a successful business career focused on marketing and technology empowered his dream to bring these elements together and create something unique and powerful for Israel.
