Tamar Reservoir Gas Discovery – The Tamar Reservoir is a natural gas reservoir that was discovered in 2009, and is located approximately 90 kilometers west of Haifa within the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the State of Israel in the Mediterranean Sea. In 2010, the development process began and continued until 2013, when gas production and its transmission to the reception stations in Ashdod commenced.

Leviathan Reservoir Gas Discovery - The Leviathan Reservoir is a natural gas reservoir that was discovered in 2010, approximately 120 kilometers west of Haifa within the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the State of Israel in the Mediterranean Sea. According to the Ministry of Energy, it is the largest and most strategic natural gas reservoir of the State of Israel. 

Tanin Reservoir Gas Discovery – The Tanin Reservoir is a natural gas reservoir that was discovered in 2012, approximately 120 kilometers west of Haifa and northeast of the Leviathan gas reservoir within the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the State of Israel in the Mediterranean Sea. This reservoir is the third largest in Israel, following the Tamar and Leviathan reservoirs.

Citizens of Israel Fund  Law – In 2014, The Citizens of Israel Fund Law was enacted to manage the State of Israel's revenues from the excess profits levy derived from natural resources, including natural gas, oil, and potash. The law was designed with a long-term economic perspective and aims to maximize these revenues to ensure the continued existence of the fund for future generations.

First inflow into the fund.

Establishment of an Investment Committee and a Fund Council, and the appointment of their members.

Once the cumulative inflows surpassed 1 billion NIS, the fund initiated its activities in compliance with the law.
