ThetaRay’s SONAR platform, based on 15 years of academic research and 19 patents, provides superior detection of money laundering by using multiple computational algorithms to solve singular problems. Using AI intuition based on proprietary algorithms, SONAR analyzes dozens of risk indicators associated with financial crimes. This unique approach paints a clear picture for compliance teams to detect and pinpoint transactions indicating suspicious activities. As a result, SONAR can deliver up to 95% investigation-worthy alerts, whereas legacy solutions typically have a 99.5% false positive rate which equates to one true positive for every 200 alerts. Prior to joining ThetaRay, Prof. Averbuch was research staff member with IBM’s TJ Watson Research Center in New York.

Prior to joining ThetaRay, Barak worked at the assurance business line of Ernst & Young Israel with many high-tech companies in the big data, internet, and communications industries. Prior to his work in Ernst & Young, Barak served as a management consultant at Mashik, an Israeli management consultancy firm associated with AT Kearny. Barak is a certified CPA and holds an MBA and BA in accounting and economics (cum laude) from Tel Aviv University.

Mark is a prominent senior executive with 20 years of experience in Israeli and international high-tech companies. Mark served as managing director of Nice Track which provides software and hardware solutions to government agencies worldwide in the areas of information intelligence and cyber. He was also the group president & CEO of SkyVision which he took from the start-up stage to an international company serving over 50 countries worldwide. Mark has held additional pivotal roles in leading companies.
