Entangled Networks

Entangled Networks is creating a novel technology to link or interconnect massive numbers of quantum computer processor units (QPUs) together to solve issues of scalability that currently vex the advancement of quantum computing. For companies, researchers, and agencies seeking to exploit quantum computing’s exponential advantage to discover answers in significantly shorter times than by today’s fastest supercomputers, they need to support millions of qubits. This is only possible by interconnecting multiple QPUs together to form a multi-core architecture. Currently, this is not the possible due the lack of supporting hardware and software.

Entangled Networks’ optical hardware components and software are being developed to solve these challenges and create scalability into the million qubits and beyond. In addition, the company’s proprietary simulation package and multi-QPU communication protocols apply the company’s knowledge and experience to assess the performance of third-party proposed architectures and benchmark them against alternatives. In January 2023, IonQ Inc. (NYSE: IONQ) announced its acquisition of the operating assets of Entangled Networks Ltd. The combined teams will launch IonQ Canada.
